Automated emergency braking shall activate Cluster warning output and Cluster brake-request output within 100 ms if vehicle speed is at least 5 m/s and a fused forward object has confidence of at least 90 percent and time to collision does not exceed 1200 ms.
Provide a fused forward object with confidence of at least 90 percent and time to collision of at most 1200 ms while vehicle speed is at least 5 m/s. Both warning and braking requests must become active within 100 ms of those conditions becoming true.
Automated emergency braking shall keep Cluster brake-request output inactive if no fused forward object has confidence of at least 90 percent or if the perception status is degraded.
With no fused forward object at confidence of at least 90 percent, or with degraded perception status, verify that the emergency brake request remains inactive.
Automated emergency braking shall deactivate Cluster brake-request output within 50 ms if the driver applies the accelerator pedal beyond the configured override threshold.
While an emergency brake request is active, apply the accelerator beyond the configured override threshold. The brake request must become inactive within 50 ms.
Automated emergency braking shall set Cluster function-status output to degraded and keep Cluster brake-request output inactive within 100 ms if fewer than two forward sensors are available or the newest sensor observation is older than 100 ms.
Provide fewer than two available forward sensors, then separately provide a sensor set whose newest observation is older than 100 ms. In each case, function status must become degraded and the brake request must be inactive within 100 ms.
